D-Fend Solutions has announced that its EnforceAir platform was deployed across North American host cities during the 2026 FIFA World Cup to protect matches, surrounding venues and critical infrastructure from unauthorized drone activity. The D-Fend EnforceAir counter-drone security system was selected by national, federal, state and local law enforcement and public safety agencies for operations across the United States, Canada and Mexico.

According to the company, the deployment involved multiple tournament locations and agencies operating within a coordinated, multi-layered security environment.

EnforceAir uses radio frequency cyber-takeover technology to address unauthorized drone activity.

According to D-Fend Solutions, the system provides a non-kinetic and non-disruptive counter-drone capability intended to take control of rogue drones and enable controlled outcomes.

The platform can operate as:

Several participating agencies allowed D-Fend Solutions to identify their involvement or provided statements about their World Cup counter-drone operations.

The agencies included the Pennsylvania State Police, City of Atlanta Police Department, Cobb County Police Department and Mexico City Police.

Mexico City Police also used EnforceAir as part of its tournament security operations.
