CACI Wins $500 Million Counter-UAS Contract with SkyValor Selected for First Task Order

CACI International has been awarded a three-year, $500 million indefinite delivery/indefinite quantity contract to provide counter-UAS capabilities in support of Joint Interagency Task Force 401 (JIATF-401). As the first task order under the contract, the company will deploy its SkyValor system to strategic locations as part of the Domestic Shield mission.

According to CACI, SkyValor is designed to detect, track and defeat hostile drones before they threaten national security operations.

CACI Counter UAS Contract Begins with SkyValor Deployment

The first task order under the IDIQ contract calls for the deployment of SkyValor systems to critical mission locations supporting JIATF-401.

According to CACI, SkyValor provides:

• Long-range drone detection
• Threat tracking
• Precision defeat capabilities
• Early warning against hostile drones

The company said the system is designed to provide operators with additional time to respond to aerial threats before they reach protected areas.

SkyValor Completes Operational Evaluations

According to the company, SkyValor recently completed operational evaluations conducted by JIATF-401 at Marine Corps Air Station Yuma.

The evaluations measured the system’s ability to:

• Detect small unmanned aircraft systems
• Defeat threats beyond line of sight
• Provide extended warning time for operators

CACI said the system’s detection range provides operators with minutes to respond rather than only seconds of warning offered by lower-range counter-UAS systems.

Based on the evaluation results, JIATF-401 approved SkyValor for deployment to critical operational sites.

Mobile Counter-UAS Capability Expands

CACI said the latest award follows an earlier contract through JIATF-401’s Commercial Solutions Opening program.

Under that contract, the company will deliver four SkyValor units, including a variant integrated onto a heavy-duty truck to provide a mobile counter-drone capability.

According to CACI, SkyValor combines:

• Advanced sensing
• Automated defeat capabilities
• Drone detection and tracking
• Threat identification
• Counter-drone technologies capable of addressing cellular-enabled drones

Supporting National Security Operations

The company said the IDIQ contract enables JIATF-401 to procure CACI’s tactical counter-UAS systems as part of broader efforts to protect U.S. interests against evolving unmanned threats.

The CACI counter UAS contract marks the beginning of a three-year program supporting JIATF-401 with SkyValor systems for fixed and mobile counter-drone operations.
