XTEND has completed the integration of Atlas into its organization, marking the completion of the strategic acquisition announced earlier this year. The XTEND Atlas XOS integration expands the company’s engineering, manufacturing, commercial and product operations while strengthening its XOS ecosystem and European presence.
According to XTEND, the integration adds new intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance platforms, communications technologies and manufacturing capacity to support defense, government and commercial customers.
XTEND Atlas XOS Integration Expands European Operations
The completed integration incorporates Atlas’ engineering, manufacturing, commercial and product organizations into XTEND’s global structure.
According to the company, the integration adds:
- Four operational ISR platforms powered by XOS
- Thousands of deployed robotic systems
- Advanced tactical communications technologies
- Intelligent hardware components for the XTEND Marketplace
XTEND said Atlas also strengthens its Marketplace ecosystem and expands the company’s manufacturing capabilities.
Latvia Becomes European Manufacturing Hub
XTEND announced that XTEND XFAB Latvia will serve as the company’s European manufacturing and engineering center.
According to the company, the facility expands production capacity while supporting:
- NATO member nations
- European Union defense organizations
- Allied nations
XTEND said the regional facility provides trusted manufacturing, streamlined supply chains, scalable production and local customer support closer to operational requirements.
The company also stated that the combined organization now has direct commercial reach into approximately 40 European countries.
XOS Ecosystem Gains ISR and Communications Capabilities
According to XTEND, Atlas brings more than 4,200 deployed robotic systems into the XOS ecosystem.
The company said the integration expands its operational portfolio with:
- Aerial intelligence capabilities
- Automated deployment technologies
- Ground robotics
- Tactical communications
- ISR payloads
- Integrated surveillance capabilities
- Intelligent robotic components powered by XOS
The integration also adds AtlasRADIO, a software-defined tactical communications platform designed to support secure mesh networking and embedded integration across robotic systems.
XTEND said AtlasRADIO represents the company’s first expansion into intelligent software-defined robotic components that will be offered through its Marketplace ecosystem.
Integration Supports Future Growth
According to XTEND, the integration supports its strategy of replacing legacy commercial drone platforms with mission-ready, NDAA-compliant autonomous systems.
The company said this positions XTEND to support the growing transition away from commercial drones in Europe while creating a foundation for future expansion into North America.
