ePropelled Launches SKYLARK Propulsion Series for Next-Generation UAV and Drone Platforms

ePropelled has launched the ePropelled SKYLARK UAV propulsion series, a fully integrated electric propulsion system developed for light- to medium-duty unmanned aerial vehicles. Introduced at the Farnborough International Airshow 2026, the system is designed to simplify aircraft assembly, reduce subsystem complexity and support higher-volume UAV production.

The SKYLARK Series combines motor and controller components in a single unit for defense, industrial and commercial uncrewed applications.

ePropelled SKYLARK UAV System Simplifies Integration

The SKYLARK Series was developed to address demand for modular propulsion systems and faster assembly of UAV platforms.

By combining the motor and controller into one integrated solution, the system is designed to help aircraft manufacturers:

  • Reduce wiring and connection requirements
  • Shorten assembly times
  • Improve manufacturing repeatability
  • Support more compact aircraft designs
  • Increase available payload capacity
  • Scale production more efficiently

ePropelled said the reduced subsystem complexity can decrease the time required to build each aircraft while supporting consistent production at scale.

“We are seeing a clear shift toward the need to scale production of more capable UAV platforms without compromising reliability, performance and mission effectiveness,” said Dean Marcarelli, Chief Commercial Officer of ePropelled. “SKYLARK has been engineered specifically to meet those requirements, delivering ePropelled’s renowned power, endurance and integrated control solutions in a compact unit for efficient and fast assembly.”

SKYLARK Integrates Intelligent Propulsion Control

The ePropelled SKYLARK UAV system is part of the company’s eP Unified Architecture.

It includes ePConnect onboard technology, which allows integration with ePropelled’s range of:

  • Motors
  • Controllers
  • Intelligent power systems

According to the company, the architecture supports system-level propulsion management and control. It is also intended to simplify integration and commissioning while giving operators greater control over propulsion performance.

ePropelled said the unified approach is designed to improve mission reliability and support future propulsion-system development.

Electric Propulsion System Supports UAV Production

The SKYLARK Series is intended for use across defense, industrial and commercial UAV platforms.

“By combining propulsion and intelligent control within a unified architecture, we are helping our customers achieve greater operational effectiveness while simplifying system integration,” said Marcarelli. “This is about delivering real capability where it matters most and putting reliable, mission-ready capability into the field, faster.”

The company said the system is built using secure and sovereign supply chains and is NDAA-compliant for European and NATO-aligned UAV manufacturers and operators.

SKYLARK Showcased at Farnborough 2026

ePropelled plans to showcase the SKYLARK Series throughout the Farnborough International Airshow 2026.

The company will provide demonstrations and technical briefings focused on:

  • High-power UAV applications
  • Hybrid propulsion-system integration
  • Integrated power-management capabilities
