Wingtra has launched the WingtraRAY, a groundbreaking survey drone designed to empower surveyors with waiver-free flights over people and versatile hot-swap sensors. Certified for Category 3 OOP in the U.S. and EASA STS-02 in Europe, this AUVSI Green and DIU Blue UAS Cleared drone delivers unmatched efficiency for urban infrastructure, mining, and time-sensitive projects, streamlining the plan-capture-process-share workflow.

The WingtraRAY transforms surveying by enabling rapid data collection and processing. Surveyors can set up a site post-coffee, cover 100 ha/250 ac in just 10 minutes, and sync data for processing in two hours, delivering results to stakeholders before lunch.

WingtraRAY’s parachute add-on secures Category 3 OOP approval, allowing flights over people across 98% of U.S. territory without waivers. In Europe, its C6 certification supports EASA STS-02, simplifying approvals for BVLOS and urban projects. Enhanced safety features like obstacle avoidance and a backup battery ensure reliable return-to-home, reducing operational risks.

Versatile Payloads for Diverse Survey Applications

With six hot-swap payloads, including the new INSPECT payload, WingtraRAY supports a range of survey tasks, from LiDAR terrain models in vegetated areas to millimeter-resolution airport crack detection. It captures 100 acres at 2.5 mm resolution from 200 ft AGL in an hour, outperforming multirotors that require multiple flights for similar detail. Its Blue UAS Cleared status fast-tracks approvals for U.S. government and airport projects.

WingtraRAY optimizes efficiency with a guided ground control workflow, five-minute setup, and hands-free automated flights. Its adaptive speed feature balances accuracy and speed, making it up to 10 times faster than multirotors.
