Skyfire and VOTIX Collaborate to Unleash the Full Potential of Drones in Public Safety

Skyfire Consulting, a highly trusted public safety UAS consulting group, has partnered with VOTIX, a maker of innovative drone automation, orchestration, and remote operation software applications. This strategic partnership aims to enable VOTIX to leverage Skyfire’s ten years of experience in public safety, making it easier for agencies to start and operate Drone First Responder (DFR) programs.

Together, Skyfire and VOTIX will work closely with agencies and the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) to expedite regulatory approvals, including beyond visual line of sight (BVLOS) operations, provide appropriate training for both DFR and tactical UAS response, program site selection, and more. This collaboration is expected to drive rapid growth in the DFR industry, with a focus on whole program approaches to public safety.

Matt Sloane, Skyfire founder and CEO, stated, “This partnership between Skyfire and VOTIX is a shared vision and allows day one execution, as VOTIX brings their capabilities of drone automation and response to the public safety market. The Skyfire team’s knowledge of complex FAA waivers, best-in-class training trusted by local, state and federal agencies, and branches of the U.S. Military, combined with VOTIX software will be a game changer for our industry.”

VOTIX software streamlines the DFR response process and enables drones to be operated remotely through the cloud in compliance with FAA regulations. This software expands drone capabilities and productivity by facilitating BVLOS operations, autonomous flights, real-time cloud video streaming, precision landing, and drone-in-a-box integration. It can convert any drone into an automated platform capable of deploying drone programs at scale.

Ed Boucas, VOTIX founder and CEO, said, “Skyfire is a household name in supporting public safety drone programs, and VOTIX looks forward to the opportunity to give agencies access to its powerful solutions. Leveraging their incredibly experienced team to help navigate FAA regulations, onboarding and program specific training, on any drone platform, will allow more departments and entire counties and states to implement DFR programs with VOTIX.”

Skyfire’s leading DFR integration services will be available as an add-on to existing VOTIX contracts or as a separate service directly purchased from Skyfire. This partnership is expected to bring numerous benefits to the public safety drone industry by providing agencies with access to innovative technologies and the expertise required to operate them effectively.
