UAVOS provides perfectly-fitted industry-grade carbon fiber blade rotors for unmanned helicopters to be installed on helicopters with up to 140 kg take-off mass and rotor diameter up to 3200 mm. The state-of-the-art carbon rotor blades are produced with carbon fiber reinforced prepregs (CFRP) using a curing oven. The blade leading edge is made of brass which allows UAVOS to significantly extend its operational life. The blade’s operational life limit is 2,600 hours with the possibility of extension.

How does UAVOS work?
We work with our clients to get details on their particular unmanned helicopter, including its weight, the number of rotor blades that the platform has to have, rotor speed and its diameter, and which way rotor blades turn.
The first step in our design process is the main rotor blade airfoil selection.
The next stage is 3D modeling which ensures that the rotor can withstand large forces, severe weather conditions, high RPM, and high-flight speed.
The main rotors undergo strict tests with forces 30% much higher than they would expect to encounter during normal operations, ensuring solid performance. External tests are carried out including endurance, harsh environment resistance, as well as additional strength testing.
After blade balancing check and blade testing markings are applied, which contain all the necessary information for blade identification.
The blades are delivered in a convenient packaging that can be used for daily operations.
