The Energy Drone & Robotics Coalition (EDRC), the leading organization dedicated to improving safety, efficiency, ROI, and security in energy operations through the use of unmanned aerial vehicles (UAV’s) and related technology, has announced a partnership with The Airborne International Response Team (AIRT), the leading 501(c)3 non-profit organization supporting the use of unmanned systems for public safety and disaster response – and official home of DRONERESPONDERS® – to produce the DRONERESPONDERS Emergency Planning and Disaster Response UAV Forum as a co-located event on Monday, October 25 at the 2021 Energy Drone & Robotics Summit (EDRS) at The Woodlands Waterway Marriott.
Through the agreement, AIRT and EDRC will partner together to help educate the energy industry and emergency services sectors on joint operations surrounding the use of unmanned and robotic systems to prepare, respond to, and recover from hazardous incidents and complex emergencies. EDRS is the only event exclusively focused on the business and technology of unmanned systems (aerial, ground/surface & subsea) in energy operations.
“The DRONERESPONDERS Emergency Planning and Disaster Response UAV Forum at the 20201 Energy Drone & Robotics Summit will allow us to highlight how robotic systems are impacting emergency preparedness and response in the energy sector,” said Sean Guerre, Executive Director of EDRC. “Our partnership with AIRT will help serve the greater public interest by uniting energy professionals with emergency service providers to further explore the use of UAS for disaster response and emergency operations.”
The DRONERESPONDERS Emergency Management and Disaster Response UAV Forum will continue the legacy established by AIRT’s DRONERESPONDERS Public Safety UAS Summit series started in 2019, as well as the earlier UAS DRONES Disaster Conferences which began in 2018.
“We are excited to team up with the Energy Drone and Robotics Coalition to launch our first DRONERESPONDERS event in the Lone Star State,” said Christopher Todd, Executive Director of AIRT. “Texas is recognized globally as a leading epicenter for the energy industry. The ability to bring energy operators and emergency responders together to discuss and explore the power of robotics for incident management will be an exceptional educational experience.”
The DRONERESPONDERS Emergency Management and Disaster Response UAV Forum will be a one-day event held on Monday, October 25 at the Energy Drone & Robotics Summit. Special pricing will be available soon for energy operation and emergency services professionals to attend the event. Additional details are available via edrcoalition.com.
