GRIFF Aviation To Produce Drones With Advanced CNC Technology

The machine delivered by Mazak is named Integrex i-400. The Integrex i-400 is an advanced Multi-Tasking machine that delivers maximum versatility, high precision and throughput for medium to large complex parts. The machine combines the capabilities of a high-powered turning center and full-function machining center to produce parts in single setups. This machine configuration work to minimize fixtures, tools, handling and non-cut time.

Additionally, the machine brings dramatic reductions in lead-time and improves part accuracy through the elimination of multiple setups. With full 5-axis machining capability, the machine easily processes fully prismatic parts from solid blocks or castings (chucked or bar fed), round parts, or highly contoured parts.

With this kind of technology, GRIFF Aviation will be able to produce a complete set of parts for one GRIFF every 48 hours. Production will start up in the near future and GRIFF Aviation is working day and night to set up the machine.
